• Spiral stiffeners were integrated into SLA-fabricated resin honeycombs. • Quasi-static tests and simulations quantified compression behavior. • BHCHSSS improved strength and energy absorption by 23.85% and 19.11%. • Stiffener pitch governed the strength-stability trade-off. • I- and T-shaped stiffeners enhanced post-peak energy dissipation.
