The Faraday Discussion on Correlated electronic structure took place from the 17th to the 19th of July 2024 in London, UK. The Discussion encompassed various facets of electron correlation, ranging from its formal definition and quantification to emerging frontiers in electronic structure theory, with applications in the solid state, integration with machine learning, and quantum computing. A summary of the research themes covered during the 2024 Faraday Discussion on Correlated electronic structure and the author's perspective on the challenges and open frontiers of the field.
