Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
Despite ongoing efforts to reduce CLABSI rates, many challenges persist. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the need for adaptive strategies in response to emerging healthcare challenges. Moving forward, addressing health disparities and ongoing research regarding underlying risk reduction will be crucial to reducing incidence of CLABSIs. Healthcare providers must remain vigilant and up to date regarding indications, insertion, maintenance, and prompt removal of CVCs to reduce infection risk. Emergence of new technologies, including options for venous access, necessitates continuous evolvement within the field of infection prevention. The introduction of new surveillance metrics, such as HOB, reflects a broader recognition of the need for a more encompassing approach to monitoring HAIs.
