• Continuous CO production from CO2 captured by dual-function material. • Moving-bed reactor achieves up to 27% CO with minimal product dilution. • Counter-current flow provides higher CO concentration than co-current flow. • Syngas with H2/CO ratios of 2–3 suitable for methanol and FT synthesis obtained. • Temperature and particle flow rate effectively control CO yield and gas quality.
