Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
In this letter, we introduce a coordinated multi-cell transmit diversity (TxD) technique which improves the existing space frequency block coding based single-cell TxD schemes by combining them with inter-cell cyclic delay. With the proposed symbol-to-subcarrier mapping rule, this novel method achieves better diversity gain over the existing multi-cell and single-cell counterparts. This design is easy to implement and the number of the cooperating cells is configurable. Moreover, it has the same detection complexity as single-cell case. Theoretical analysis and simulation results reveal the benefits of this proposed scheme, which can act as a backup of the closed-loop coordinated multi-point (CoMP) transmission in case the reliable channel state information feedback is not available.
