To investigate the value of combined application of left ventricular ejection time integral (VTI) and optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) in evaluating cardiac function and volume management of preeclampsia pregnant women during peri-cesarean section. Left ventricular VTI and ONSD were correlated at different time points during cesarean section in preeclampsia pregnant women, and their combined application was helpful to evaluate cardiac function and guide volume management. A total of 80 eligible preeclampsia parturients undergoing cesarean section were included in this study, with an average age of 27.70 ± 4.65 years and a BMI of 30.31 ± 4.20 kg/m2, and the overall baseline characteristics were consistent with the typical distribution of clinical preeclampsia population. VTI demonstrated a strong positive correlation with ONSD across all perioperative time points, with Pearson correlation coefficients ranging from 0.857 to 0.921, and all correlation results were statistically significant. This indicates that a single more convenient point-of-care ultrasound indicator can be used clinically to quickly assess the cardiac function and volume status of preeclampsia parturients, providing reliable reference for perioperative anesthesia management. VTI combined with ONSD can provide important reference for cardiac function evaluation and volume management of preeclampsia pregnant women during cesarean section and has certain clinical value.
