• Crustal growth in the southern West African Craton spanned ∼2350–2060 Ma. • Two orogenic cycles drove juvenile magmatism and shaped the metallogenic record. • Negative εHf values fingerprint Archean crustal reworking during the Eoeburnean. • Hf isotopic signatures delineate juvenile vs. reworked metallogenic domains. • Mixed εHf in late-orogenic rocks records mantle input via lithospheric delamination. • Combined geological data support a ∼3,500 km basin closed by two subduction segments.
