Abstract

In this study, a coupling system of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) and UiO-66/GO was constructed to achieve efficient defluorination and rapid degradation of fluorine-containing compounds. The degradation rate, F- release efficiency and TOC removal rate of 4-fluorophenol (4-FP) were systematically studied by optimizing DBD discharge parameters, pH value, initial concentration and catalyst type. The results showed that after adding the optimal catalyst, the degradation rate of 4-FP reached 100% within 25 minutes, the defluorination rate reached 99.62% within 120 minutes, and the TOC removal rate was 25.45% in the single DBD, and increased to 46.37% after adding UiO-66/GO-2. UV-Vis DRS, UPS, PL, and TRPL revealed that UiO-66/GO composite catalysts play a key role in inhibiting carrier recombination and achieving rapid electron transfer. FT-IR, XPS and free radical quenching experiments demonstrated that the synergistic mechanism depended on the active species (•OH, •H, eaq-,•O2-) and Zr4+/Zr3+ redox sites produced by DBD.These components jointly promoted C-F bond cleavage and intermediate mineralization, thus achieving the ultimate goal of efficient defluorination and rapid degradation.
