Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Soil moisture shifted from highly variable surface dynamics to stable deep-soil storage. • Vertical coupling weakened and propagation lag increased markedly toward deeper soil. • Soil moisture persistence increased from 14 d at 3 cm to 37 d at 50 cm. • Soil moisture–temperature coupling shifted from negative in shallow soil to positive at depth. • Clay and elevation exerted distinct controls on deep moisture dynamics and hydrothermal coupling.
