Abstract

The two-target line differential game considers an evader trying to escape by reaching one of two parallel target lines. Two cooperative pursuers, each one endowed with a positive capture radius, aim at capturing the evader before it escapes. This problem has been the subject of recent investigation. However, previously proposed strategies and Barrier surface do not represent the correct solutions of this differential game. This paper significantly improves recent studies by designing the correct saddle-point strategies and the true Barrier surface that separates the winning regions of the evader and the pursuer team. Illustrative examples comparing the strategies in this paper to previous work are shown which demonstrates the optimality and superiority of the obtained solutions.
