• LaFeO3/rGO nanohybrid was fabricated through a facile hydrothermal method. • LaFeO3/rGO nanohybrid exhibited low overpotential of 242 mV at 10 mA/cm2. • The nanohybrid exhibited remarkable stability, retaining consistent performance over 50 h. • EIS results demonstrated reduced solution resistance of 0.76 Ω for LaFeO3/rGO.
