The development of high-performance supercapacitors with enhanced energy density, power output, and stability is crucial for next-generation energy storage. Here, an AlVO@RGO composite was synthesized by decorating aluminum vanadium oxide (AlVO) on reduced graphene oxide (RGO) via a hydrothermal method, integrating the pseudocapacitive properties of AlVO with the high conductivity of RGO. Electrochemical studies in 2 M KOH using cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and galvanostatic charge-discharge confirmed its excellent charge-storage properties. In the symmetric configuration, AlVO@RGO delivered a high specific capacitance of 761 F g- 1 at 1 A g- 1, with 85.5 % retention after 5000 cycles. In the asymmetric device, pairing AlVO@RGO with activated carbon extended the voltage window to 1.8 V, achieving an energy density of 42 Wh kg- 1 and a power density of 10,625 W kg- 1, with 83.7 % retention after 5000 cycles. Notably, this capacitance surpasses reported values for Zn3V2O8 (207 F g- 1) and CoV2O6 (306.6 F g- 1), underscoring superior performance. These results establish AlVO@RGO as a promising electrode material for practical applications in portable electronics, wearable devices, and real-time energy storage systems.
