Abstract
En 中文
• Randon forest (RF) was trained on geochemical data of banded iron formations (BIFs). • The RF model discriminated Algoma- and Superior-type BIFs. • Algoma-type BIFs link to cratonization; Superior-type are related to erosional basin. • Superior-type BIFs form right after Algoma-type in all studied cratons. • This sequence supports a supercraton-mode during the Meso- to Neoarchean.
