1. Digital technologies offer valuable approaches for objective and non-invasive dental plaque assessment. 2. AI-aided methodologies and 3D intraoral scanner systems exhibited strong agreement with reference standards for dental plaque detection and quantification. 3. The application of disclosing agents significantly improved the association of digital technologies with reference standards for dental plaque detection and quantification.
