Abstract

In this paper, we consider the problem of secure state estimation for distributed sensor networks. At every time step, the data transmitted from the ith sensor to the jth sensor could be intercepted by an eavesdropper. We design a distortion-based code to distort the eavesdropper's cognition of the real data. Then we prove that the proposed encryption mechanism can cause the worst estimation performance for the eavesdropper by maximizing the distortion. Moreover, we analyze some possible vulnerabilities of our codes from the view of the eavesdropper and propose some helpful suggestions. Finally, we conduct simulation experiments to verify the derived results.& COPY; 2023 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
