Phytoseiulus persimilis is an effective biocontrol agent characterized by paternal genome elimination (PGE), an unusual reproductive system in which males eliminate the paternal genome during embryogenesis. However, the molecular mechanism underlying sex determination and reproductive regulation in this species remain poorly understood.
