• Concept reduction is performed using the minimal representative concept matrix (RC-matrix, for short) for dynamic data set. • The elements of the minimal RC-matrix are labeled directly from the formal context, and constructed directly with local information. • A simplified version of the minimal RC-matrix is further proposed to compute only one concept reduct. • The update mechanisms for a concept reduct are studied to make them applicable to dynamically changing data.
