Abstract

• Fabrication of Al2O3 by solgel method and studied the Effect of electrolyte i.e. 1 M Na2SO4, 1 M KOH, and 1 M NaOH for energy storage applications. • A specific capacitance of 86.41 F/g was obtained at a scan rate of 5 mV/s in 1 M KOH electrolyte with coulombic efficiency of 88.3%. • Long-term stability in KOH electrolytes, with 71.4% capacitance retention after 7000 cycles, with coulombic efficiency of 100%.
