Effect of Logotherapy on Depressive Symptoms, Psychological Pain, and Meaning of Life Among Individuals With Depression

PURPOSE: To reduce depressive symptoms and psychological pain and enhance sense of meaning in life among individuals with depression through logotherapy. METHOD: A quasi-experimental design was used. The intervention group received standard treatment alongside logotherapy for 8 weeks, whereas the control group continued standard depression treatment. Two-way repeated measures analysis of variance was used to assess group 3 time interactions. RESULTS: Logotherapy significantly decreased depressive symptoms and psychological pain and improved sense of meaning in life. Group 3 time analyses conCONCLUSION: Logotherapy can be used as an adjunct treatment to reduce depressive symptoms and psychological pain and improve meaning of life among individuals with depression.
