Abstract
En 中文
• A series of aliphatic polyesters, PEm-n (m, n: carbon numbers of diol and dicarboxylic acid, respectively, ranging from 2 to 12) were synthesized. • There biodegradation tests in seawater were performed at 27°C for 28 days by BOD measurement. • Most polymers exhibited high biodegradation in seawater, while succinate polyesters showed low biodegradation. • Even relatively hydrophobic polyesters such as PE8-8, PE4-12, PE12-6, and PE12-12 were biodegraded in seawater.
