• Peak flow velocity occurs shortly after marsh platform inundation and decreases with increasing channel sinuosity. • Higher channel sinuosity increases sediment retention within the system, but it reduces sediment delivery to the marsh. • Wider and shallower channel designs tend to promote greater water and sediment fluxes into restored tidal marshes.
