Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Laminated TiB2-HfN/TiB2-HfC ceramics were designed with a wide layer-thickness range from 0 to 1.6 mm. • Strength and toughness varied non-monotonically with layer thickness, with optimal strength at 0.3 mm. • Interface toughening and load-bearing capacity of individual layers were analyzed to reveal the strengthening mechanism.
