Abstract
En 中文
• Paper manipulated spatial anxiety to investigate their effects on orientation within a virtual building. • Inducing spatial anxiety was found to impair orientation resulting in longer latencies to exit the building. • Longer latencies were as a result of participants taking longer learned routes out of building rather than novel short cuts. • Spatial anxiety was found to impair orientation to a greater extent than inducing general anxiety. • Including landmarks within the building which were associated with the external landmarks alleviated the effects of spatial anxiety
