• Macroscopic response differences in cyclic and monotonic creep were clarified. • Effect of temperature and stress ratio on cyclic creep behavior were illustrated. • Cyclic creep deformation and damage mechanisms of TiAl alloy were revealed. • Ti2Al particles precipitated in B2 phase and hinder dislocation motions.
