To meet the urgent demand for high-performance dielectric materials in advanced electronic and power systems, this paper proposed a finite element analysis (FEA)-guided electric field distribution simulation design strategy for phase-selective layer structures. This design constructed phase-selective hetero-layer structured composites by combining BaTiO3 (BT) or core-shell BT@PE filled poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)/low-density polyethylene (LDPE) blends with PVDF or LDPE polymer layers. FEA and dielectric properties test results showed that the selective distribution of BT@PE in the LDPE phase introduced phase interfaces that both deflected breakdown paths and enhanced interfacial polarization. The layered structure subsequently redistributed the electric field and introduced interlayer interfaces that acted as barriers, suppressing the growth of breakdown paths. The phase-selective layered structure simultaneously used the interfacial polarization introduced by the phase-selective distribution structure and optimized the electric field distribution by reducing interlayer dielectric mismatch, thereby strengthening the breakdown barrier effect. The optimally designed phase-selective layer-structured composite PVDF-BT@PE/PVDF/LDPE-PVDF achieved a 94% increase in dielectric constant and a 38% increase in breakdown strength compared to the PVDF/LDPE blend. This study proposes an innovative structural engineering strategy that simultaneously enhances dielectric constant and breakdown strength.
