Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• A high-Zn Al-Zn-Mg-Cu-Sc-Zr-B alloy was designed without cold deformation. • An empirical Zn-equivalent index guided the selection of a high-Zn composition. • Aging produced dense η' precipitates with an equivalent size of about 3.34 nm. • The aged alloy achieved 665 MPa UTS and 13.5% elongation. • Dense nanoscale η' precipitates provided the principal artificial-aging-related strengthening effect.
