Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• This study explores the role of employee representatives on boards of directors in enhancing firm value. • Our findings show a positive correlation between the presence of employee representatives on boards and long-term investor value appropriation. • The findings also indicate that the positive effects are magnified when both local communities and corporate governance frameworks emphasize a long-term perspective. • Such firms often respond by improving their environmental disclosures.
