Abstract

• PVA/Ta2O5–Pr6O11 nanocomposite films were successfully fabricated via solution casting. • Ta2O5–Pr6O11 nanoparticles effectively tune the semi-crystalline structure of the PVA matrix. • Nanoparticle incorporation enhances optical absorption and induces a redshift of the absorption edge. • The optical bandgap is significantly reduced from 5.6 eV to 3.4 eV with increasing oxide loading. • Improved dielectric response suggests strong potential for thin-film transistor and optoelectronic applications.
