• Combined NMN and hUC-MSCs synergistically ameliorate immunosenescence and restore organ function in D-galactose-induced ageing mice. • The combined treatment suppresses lymphocyte senescence and restores redox balance. • NMN protects hUC-MSCs from microenvironment-induced senescence via activation of the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway.
