• An efficient integration between Er 3+-doped nano-tellurite-glasses into poly(methyl methacrylate) thin films, combining the high refractive index and up-conversion capabilities of nanoglasses with the flexibility and processability of polymer matrices. • Performance of the nanoglasses when using a laser at 980 nm with approximately 1.8 times the intensity compared to the others laser pumped. • Here, each nano-tellurite-glass behaves as an optical nanocavity, where the radioactive emission 2H 11/2 to 4I 15/2 of the Er 3+ ions, emission at 520 nm, is more favored compared with the other emissions.
