• A point cloud method enabling more accurate and highly efficient cable force identification for hundreds of cables within single deployment. • Propose a point cloud method for accurate cable shape and force identification for aging cable-stayed bridges. • Develop a high-precision cable geometry reconstruction method based on the point cloud model. • Provide a comprehensive evaluation through a road-rail cable-stayed bridge replacement project.
