. We investigate a reaction-diffusion-advection equations that characterizes the interaction between a generalist predator and its prey in open advective environments. For certain ranges of the advection rates of the predator and prey, by treating their diffusion rates as bifurcation parameters simultaneously, we establish the existence of a positive steady state for the aforementioned equations using the implicit function theorem. Moreover, we demonstrate that this positive steady state is locally asymptotically stable. These results not only generalize the theoretical framework of classical reaction-diffusion equations [28, 30] but also offer a novel perspective for comprehending population species coexistence mechanisms in riverine ecosystems.
