• BTM with low temperature metal solid-solid metal PCM is proposed. • Tmax of battery module with 4 mm SS-MPCM is below 45°C at 3 C-rate. • BTM with SS-MPCM is even better at higher discharge rates. • Volumetric energy density of the battery module is reduced by 14.75%.
