• Pleasant odors are associated with relaxed-alertness-like physiological patterns. • Temporal regions show dominant beta/gamma responses to olfactory conditions. • Neutral odors exhibit weaker neurophysiological modulation than pleasant odors. • Physiology-informed multimodal deep learning achieves 89.80% emotion recognition.
