Abstract
En 中文
The study explores the connection between psychological depth and existential themes in poetry, highlighting its role in expressing complex human experiences like identity crises, trauma, and the quest for meaning. It utilizes psychological theories to illustrate tension between societal expectations and individual identity, suggesting that poetry fosters self-awareness and psychological insight, helping readers navigate external pressures and affirm their authentic selves. The study uses a qualitative, interpretative approach blending literary analysis with psychological theory to examine poetic narratives by Vaidarbhi Trivedi. Thematic analysis reveals poetry's reflection of cognitive processes, supported by neuroscientific evidence of emotional brain engagement. Research emphasizes poetry's impact on addressing existential uncertainties, isolation, and self-perception, in line with theories of social identity and emotional resilience. Poetry serves as a therapeutic means to address ambiguity and bolster individual agency, with poetic narratives being crucial for understanding the resilience of the human psyche in the face of existential challenges.
