• Quasi-2D Mn doped and Cu-Mn codoped CsPb2(BrCl)5 NPLs thin films were prepared by a simple solution method. • Theoretical analyses for quantifying electron-phonon interactions in CsPbBr3 NCs and Mn doped and Cu-Mn codoped CsPb2(BrCl)5 NPLs. • An in-depth investigation on the vibrational dynamics CsPbBr3 NCs and Mn doped and Cu-Mn codoped CsPb2(BrCl)5 NPLs.
