Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• High tension-tightening preload significantly improved fatigue life of bolted connection. • Cyclic loading accelerated preload relaxation and increased bolt stress range. • Equivalent stress captured preload loss and bending effects and reduced scatter. • Thermo-mechanical FE modelling accurately reproduced bolt preload behaviour. • Fracture-mechanics framework successfully predicted S-N curves of connections.
