Abstract

• Propose a novel two-level stochastic decision-making framework for UAV-based search teams with fault tolerance and energy efficiency capabilities. • Discuss the closed-loop implementation algorithm for our proposed framework and the use of stochastic dynamic programming to calculate the optimal decision-making policies. • Present simulation results from four specially designed cases to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. • Present a detailed comparison with the existing approaches to demonstrate the novelty of the design of the framework.
