Abstract

• This paper presents a practical high-dynamic range algorithm for fringe projection profilometry, capable of simultaneously addressing overexposure and underexposure issues in complex industrial scenes. • A series of prior-condition-based image preprocessing steps balance the accuracy of nonlinear fitting and the loss of modulation information. • With a minimal increase in image acquisition time, the method is more suitable for practical industrial inspection scenarios.
