Drawing on phenomenology and psychoanalytic theories of the unrepresented - particularly de M'Uzan's chimeral and Merleau-Ponty's late ontology - I explore with Daniel Butler moments in which analytic process unfolds not through interpretation but through embodied feeling and saying: sounds, gestures, visceral reactions that expose analyst and patient alike to a shared yet impersonal aliveness on the edge of what can be endured. I argue that such moments are neither relational exchanges nor technical interventions, but ontological events in which attunement risks disturbance, and where staying alive becomes the analyst's ethical task.
