• NO2 was associated with lower PRL, and O3 was associated with lower LH and E2. • Reproductive hormones were associated with all oocyte-related outcomes. • PRL, LH, and E2 mediated the adverse effects of air pollution on oocyte outcomes. • Endocrine disruption may be a key pathway for air pollutants’ reproductive toxicity.
