• Femtosecond laser creates super-black, superhydrophilic nickel foam. • TiN and CaCl2 enable synergistic radiative and evaporative cooling. • Self-sustained water uptake achieved without external water supply. • Cooling power exceeds 320 W m−2 under solar irradiation. • Scalable passive cooling shows strong building energy-saving potential.
