FINDING ROOTS USING DIVERGENT FUNCTIONAL ITERATION
DOI:10.1016/0010-4655(92)90172-U.png)
Abstract
En 中文
A new method for finding the roots of polynomial or nonlinear equations is proposed using functional iterations which converge slowly, or are even divergent. The method consists of repeated applications of the Levin u2-transform on the sequence generated by the functional iteration starting from an arbitrary real or complex input. The method thus obviates the need for the knowledge in advance of the approximate value of any of the roots.
