• For the nonlinear multi-agent systems with cooperative and competitive network topologies, both the static and dynamic fixed-time (FXT) event-triggered control protocols are proposed. Different from the existing protocols, our proposed protocols separately design the information exchange rules within and between groups, which can effectively balance the influence of intra and inter groups information well by adjusting their gain weights. • Different from the existing works (Guo et al., 2022; Cai et al., 2021), the FXT cluster consensus for multi-agent systems with uncertain disturbances is considered. In particular, when there is only one group, the cluster consensus can degenerate into existing complete consensus (Guo et al., 2022; Cai et al., 2021). Hence, The issue considered in this paper is more general. • By introducing a internal dynamic variable, a dynamic event-triggered control protocol is proposed, which can ensure the FXT cluster consensus while reducing the frequency of controller updates well by adjusting the dynamic variable.
