Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
At present, wearable piezoelectric sensors have received significant attention due to their diverse applications, particularly in the monitoring of biomechanical motions. Biodegradable poly(l-lactic acid) nanowebs are being considered as a substitute for conventional piezoelectric polymer in wearable sensor applications; however, their poor dielectric and piezoelectric properties, along with limited wash durability, prevent their use in e-textile applications. To overcome these problems, riboflavin (Vb) and poly(l-lactic acid) (PLLA) composite nanofibers were produced, in which Vb was added to PLLA in a dissolved state to enable the molecular-level interaction. The FTIR and XRD studies showed significant hydrogen bonding between the carbonyl group of PLLA and the C=O/–NH2/–OH of Vb in the composites. This has led to a 265% increase in the dielectric constant to 3.87 ± 0.29 and a 350% increase in the piezoelectric peak-to-peak voltage output (Voc) 1.05 ± 0.09 at 2.5 kPa with the addition of 10 wt % Vb. The sensor exhibited improved pressure sensitivity of 0.053 ± 0.004 V/kPa and could withstand multiple washing cycles. The sensor was used for tracking of human motions, such as jumping, running, finger movement, and respiration, demonstrating high sensing capability and practical applications.
