• A fractional dual-phase-lag bioheat model with moving laser source is proposed. • Temperature-dependent perfusion is incorporated into the fractional bioheat equation. • A hybrid spectral-finite difference method is developed for solving the model. • Effects of key parameters on temperature distribution are investigated graphically.
