Abstract
En 中文
There is a growing need for much smaller and improved power sources for consumer-portable electronics such as mobile phones and computers. Batteries such as the popular Li-ion battery are reaching limits in their ability to provide the required amount of energy (operational time) in the available design space and weight of advanced electronic devices. Fuel cells, although traditionally intended for much larger scale applications such as vehicles and power plant, are potentially capable of meeting the new requirements because of the high energy-content of their fuels. There are a variety of fuel cell technologies being considered to replace batteries in portable equipment and a recent novel nanoscale fuel cell technology can provide advanced powering solutions for portable electronics.
