• A fully implicit algorithm is developed for the CPA equation of state. • The method solves molar volume and association site fractions simultaneously. • A restart criterion suppresses unphysical root searches in supercritical regions. • The new scheme removes inner iterations, reducing computational cost by 30%–80% demonstrated by robustness and speed gains for pure water and multi-component mixtures.
