Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
A digital channelizer converts a received wideband signal into narrowband sub-channels in the digital domain to enable signal processing with reduced clock rate. Polyphase structure-based implementation is widely recognized as an efficient method for employing digital channelizers because it reduces computational complexity. For a typical polyphase digital channelizer with critical decimation, aliasing may occur at edges of each sub-channel. To solve this problem, improved digital channelizers of various concepts have been proposed. However, the existing improved methods require much more computational complexity compared to the typical polyphase digital channelizer. In this brief, we propose a generalized polyphase digital channelizer (GPDC) that can arbitrarily set the sample rate of the output signal to prevent aliasing with a low computational complexity. We demonstrate that the proposed GPDC has a lower computational complexity than previous digital channelizers.
