• Novel GTS solutions for penny-shaped cracks in 1D hexagonal quasicrystals. • Remote and arbitrary normal phonon and phason crack-face loadings are treated. • Closed-form GTS Green's functions are analytically derived. • General integral representations for GTS evaluation are established. • Benchmark closed-form GTS solutions are presented for selected loadings.
